Back pain can be chronic or acute. It can come and go. It can be very painful or hardly painful at all. Whatever your back issue, members of the State Plan have multiple resources to help. In addition to seeing your doctor, you may want to consider the following options.

Allegiance Nurse Health Coaching (NHC)
The Allegiance NHC program offers telephonic coaching to members with chronic low back pain. The Chronic Pain Program is designed to give basic self-awareness of the link between behavior and pain self-management focus areas; provide education on the “Pain Gate” theory and how the 10 focus areas can be applied; and promote self-management by helping you identify areas for focus in managing your pain. Premise Montana Health Center
The Premise Montana Health Center offers a team of health professionals including physicians, nurses, and health coaches to address chronic and acute conditions such as joint and back pain. The Health Center focuses on preventive health care and includes health coaching and primary care visits related to your condition. Click here for more information.
Premise Exercise Health Coaches are certified professionals in corrective exercise and can assist with stretches, strength training, form and alignment for lifting and moving objects, workplace ergonomics, and core strength.
